KP government school jobs

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has officially approved the recruitment of 2,800 chowkidars (watchmen) for government schools across the province. The decision aims to address long-standing staff shortages while creating employment opportunities for individuals with lower educational qualifications.

Approval Granted by Finance Department

According to official sources, the KP Finance Department has granted formal approval to fill these vacant positions. Many of these posts had remained unfilled for years, affecting the safety and maintenance of government school premises.

The recruitment drive will cover 28 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ensuring province-wide implementation of the initiative.

Merit-Based Recruitment Process

Authorities have confirmed that hiring will be conducted through public advertisements and open competition. The selection process will strictly follow a transparent and merit-based system, allowing eligible candidates equal opportunity to apply.

Officials emphasized that no special quotas will be applied, ensuring fairness throughout the recruitment process.

District-Wise Allocation of Vacancies

Several districts will receive a significant number of positions based on local requirements.
Major allocations include:

  • Mansehra: 377 positions
  • Bannu: 263 positions
  • Mardan: 256 positions
  • Peshawar: 162 positions
  • Lakki Marwat: 160 positions
  • Abbottabad: 154 positions
