Turkish Scholarships for Pakistanis: A renowned Turkish University has announced a series of scholarships in a significant development for Pakistani students aspiring to study abroad. The initiative aims to promote academic exchange, offering Pakistani students the chance to experience world-class education and strengthen ties.
Prospective students who want to pursue higher education abroad, especially in Turkey, now have the opportunity to realize their aspirations. Officials from Ankara-based TED University have announced significant scholarships for Pakistani students enrolling in 23 undergraduate and 17 graduate programs for the fall 2024 semester.
At a Devcom-Pakistan webinar on Sunday, international program officials from TED University revealed that freshmen will receive scholarships ranging from 25 percent to 100 percent based on their academic merit and other qualifications. Notably, the university exempts Pakistani students from the GRE or English Language Proficiency Test.
Bachelor’s courses span five departments, including architecture, psychology, mathematics, and engineering disciplines. Postgraduate courses cover areas such as data science, economics, and engineering management. TED University currently has approximately 5,000 students with a 24:1 student-to-faculty ratio, ensuring personalized attention. Faculty encourages students to participate in joint projects, fellowships, and research activities.
Munir Ahmed, Devcom-Pakistan Managing Director, emphasized Turkey-Pakistan’s historical ties and the need to enhance cooperation across various domains.
The purpose of the student exchange program between the two countries is to promote mutual understanding and strengthen bilateral relations. Levent Okar, TED University International Programs Office Director, expressed gratitude to Pakistani mothers for entrusting their children’s education to Turkey.
Pakistan has welcomed this announcement with enthusiasm and optimism, with many students already starting their application process. The scholarships are expected to cover tuition fees, accommodation, and a monthly stipend, making it a fully funded opportunity.
