The Government of Sindh has officially invited applications from eligible students for the Bhutto STEM Scholarship, offering a prestigious opportunity to pursue higher education at the University of Oxford. The scholarship aims to support academically outstanding students from Sindh, particularly in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), for the 2026–27 academic year.

Scholarship Overview

The Bhutto STEM Scholarship is being offered in collaboration with the Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP). Under this initiative, six fully funded scholarships will be awarded to deserving candidates seeking admission to Master’s, MPhil, and DPhil (PhD) programmes at Oxford University. The scholarship covers tuition fees and other approved academic expenses as per programme guidelines.

Reserved Seats and Merit Criteria

The Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Initiative reserves three of the total scholarships specifically for female candidates. The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Initiative allocates the remaining three seats based on open merit. The selection process will strictly follow academic merit and eligibility requirements set by both Oxford University and the Sindh College Education Department.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must fulfill several criteria to be considered eligible. Candidates must:

Hold a Sindh domicile, CNIC, and PRC (Form-D)

Meet Oxford University’s academic and English language requirements

Secure an unconditional offer of admission from Oxford

Not receiving any other scholarship or financial award

Only candidates who fully comply with these requirements will proceed to the next stage of evaluation.

Selection Process

The College Education Department and the Oxford Pakistan Programme Scholarship Committee may jointly interview shortlisted applicants. Final selections will be made based on academic excellence, interview performance, and overall merit.

Application Procedure

Applicants will submit applications through the Oxford Pakistan Programme’s official platform, while authorities will announce detailed timelines and submission deadlines separately. Students should prepare required documents early, including academic transcripts, English language proficiency proof, and Oxford University admission confirmation letters online.
