The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the much-anticipated schedule for the 2025–27 World Test Championship (WTC). The new cycle begins on June 17, 2025, with Sri Lanka hosting Bangladesh in a two-Test series in Galle. The final of the championship is set to be played at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in June 2027.
Each team will play six series—three at home and three away. These series can range from two to five Tests. The ICC will award points based on match results:
- 12 points for a win
- 6 for a tie
- 4 for a draw
- 0 for a loss
Team rankings will be determined by the percentage of points won, ensuring fairness despite the varying number of matches in each series.
